About the role
As a Data Validation Specialist, you will define, test, and operationalize the rules that keep infrastructure datasets trustworthy. You bridge engineering and program operations—translating quality requirements into repeatable validation logic and clear exception workflows.
What you'll do
- Design validation rule sets: schema checks, business rules, cross-system reconciliation, and topology constraints
- Execute and tune QC workflows across batch and streaming pipelines with measurable coverage metrics
- Document test cases, expected outcomes, and sign-off criteria for engineering and program stakeholders
- Triage validation exceptions and partner with engineers to resolve root causes—not just symptoms
- Support audit trails, lineage documentation, and reproducible validation runs for governance reviews
What we're looking for
- 2+ years in data quality, QA engineering, or validation roles on complex datasets
- Experience writing and maintaining rule logic (SQL, Python, or domain-specific rule frameworks)
- Strong analytical skills—comfortable profiling data, identifying patterns, and prioritizing fixes
- Clear written communication for runbooks, exception reports, and stakeholder summaries
- Background in computer science, information systems, GIS, or related field
Nice to have
- Infrastructure or telecom asset data experience
- Familiarity with automated testing in CI/CD or data pipeline contexts
- Exposure to dashboard tools used for operational QC monitoring
