This Privacy Policy describes how UrbanLink Networks (“UrbanLink,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website, submit information through our forms, or use ULN Field (com.urbanlinknetworks.field), our workforce mobile app and connected operations dashboard. This policy applies to website visitors, applicants, and authorized workforce users.
Who we are
UrbanLink Networks provides infrastructure data engineering, GIS systems, automation platforms, and related technology services for telecom and utility programs. You can reach us at ops@urbanlinknetworks.com.
ULN Field mobile app and dashboard
ULN Field is used by authorized UrbanLink Networks technicians and office staff to manage field assignments, expenses, mileage, and payment information. Accounts are created by the employer through the dashboard; there is no public signup.
Information collected and why
- Account and profile: name, email address, role, fielder profile, and authentication records are used to sign you in and control access. A profile may also include a phone number, work region, and pay rate entered by authorized staff.
- Work records: assignments, job progress, expenses, receipt details, mileage entries, and payment records are used to coordinate work, review expenses, and administer payments. Mileage records may include starting locations and destinations you enter.
- Camera and photos: with your permission, you can take or select receipt and odometer photos to support expense and mileage submissions. Images and associated submission details are uploaded when you submit or synchronize them. Where receipt text extraction is enabled, images are processed to read receipt information.
- Push notifications: when you allow notifications, we associate a push notification token with your account to deliver job, approval, expense, and payment alerts. Notification delivery uses Expo and the Apple or Google push notification services.
- Diagnostics: server logs support security and troubleshooting. If error reporting is enabled for an app build, Sentry processes crash and diagnostic information to help us identify and fix problems.
Storage, access, and service providers
Account and work records are stored in our server systems hosted on Railway. Uploaded images are stored in the configured company storage service, which may include Google Drive; Google Cloud Vision may process receipt images when text extraction is enabled. These services support the operation of ULN Field. Authorized office staff can access workforce records according to their role, and fielders receive access appropriate to their assignments and account.
ULN Field communicates with our production API over HTTPS. The app stores sign-in tokens using the device's secure storage. Offline expense and mileage drafts, including attached images, may remain in the app's local storage until they are synchronized or removed. Optional Face ID or fingerprint sign-in uses your device's authentication system; UrbanLink does not receive or store your biometric templates.
We do not sell ULN Field personal information or use it for targeted advertising. We use service providers to host, store, process, secure, and deliver app functionality, and may disclose information when required by law.
Your controls, retention, and deletion requests
You can manage camera, photo, and notification permissions in your device settings. Declining a permission may prevent the related feature from working. You can disable biometric sign-in in the app.
We retain account and workforce records for as long as needed to operate the service, administer employment or contractor relationships and payments, meet accounting and legal obligations, and resolve disputes. To request access, correction, account deactivation, or deletion of your personal information, contact ops@urbanlinknetworks.com or your employer's administrator. We may verify your identity and retain records that are required for legal, accounting, security, or other legitimate business purposes. Removing the app from a device does not delete server records.

Information you provide
- Contact inquiries: name, organization, email, inquiry type, and message content submitted through our contact form.
- Job applications: name, email, phone, LinkedIn profile URL (optional), résumé or CV file, cover letter, and the position you apply for.
- Pilot requests: name, company, email, project details, and any optional project file you attach.
- Other correspondence: information you send us by email or other channels at your choice.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our site, our hosting provider may collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, and pages viewed. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 also collects similar usage data (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser, and referral source) so we can understand how the site is used. We use this information to operate, secure, and improve the website.
How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to business inquiries and schedule consultations
- Review and process job applications
- Operate, maintain, and improve our website
- Protect against fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Comply with applicable law and enforce our terms
We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers
We use third-party services to deliver website functionality, including form submission and email delivery (Web3Forms and, for confirmation email, EmailJS). Public forms also use hCaptcha to reduce automated spam; hCaptcha processes a challenge in your browser under its own privacy policy. If you accept analytics cookies, we also use Google Analytics 4 (and Google Tag Manager if configured). Google processes that data under its own privacy policy. These vendors process data on our behalf according to their policies and our instructions. Résumés and application materials are transmitted to our inbox through the form provider so we can review your application. We do not host a public file bucket for uploads.
Our website may link to external sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential website operation and, if enabled, to understand how visitors use our site.
- Essential: preferences such as whether you accepted or declined our cookie notice (stored locally in your browser).
- Analytics (optional): if you click Accept on the cookie notice, Google Analytics may set cookies or use similar technologies to measure visits. If you click Decline, analytics are not loaded. You can change this later with Cookie settings in the footer.
- Spam protection: hCaptcha may set a cookie or similar storage when you submit a form so it can tell people from bots.

Children
Our website is intended for business and professional audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
