GIS Data Analyst

  • Full-time
  • Remote / Hybrid
  • Data & GIS

About the role

As a GIS Data Analyst at UrbanLink Networks, you will ensure spatial and network asset data meets engineering standards across ingestion, validation, and publication workflows. You will partner with systems engineers and program leads to keep geographic data accurate, traceable, and ready for operational use.

What you'll do

  • Perform spatial data quality checks, topology reviews, and exception analysis on telecom network datasets
  • Support GIS integration layers connecting field capture, spatial databases, and processing pipelines
  • Document data standards, attribute rules, and repeatable QA procedures for program teams
  • Collaborate on dashboard and reporting views that surface spatial exceptions and throughput metrics
  • Contribute to pipeline improvements that reduce manual rework and accelerate publication cycles

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years experience with GIS platforms (e.g. ArcGIS, QGIS) and spatial data formats
  • Strong understanding of coordinate systems, topology, and network asset modeling concepts
  • Comfort working with structured datasets, CSV/GeoJSON exports, and basic SQL queries
  • Attention to detail and a quality mindset—able to explain findings clearly to engineers and PMs
  • Bachelor's degree in GIS, geography, computer science, or equivalent practical experience

Nice to have

  • Exposure to fiber or telecom infrastructure programs
  • Python scripting for spatial automation or batch validation
  • Experience with cloud-hosted spatial services or PostGIS
